Frequently Asked Questions
What SoleScout is, how it is paid, and how current the numbers are.

What is SoleScout?
A price-comparison engine for sneakers and streetwear. It tracks about 272,373 listings across roughly 660 retailers and shows, for one product, which stores have it, in which sizes, at what price. It is operated by END ARCHIVE LLC.
Does SoleScout sell shoes?
No. SoleScout never holds inventory and never processes an order. You click through to the retailer and buy from them directly — they handle payment, shipping and returns.
Are the links affiliate links?
Not currently. Outbound links go straight to the retailer product page with no redirect or tracking in between, and SoleScout earns nothing on a click or a purchase. If that ever changes it will be stated on the affiliate disclosure page before it takes effect, and ranking will stay price-based either way.
How does SoleScout make money?
Subscriptions. The free tier shows prices and sizes; paid plans unlock the retailer names behind each listing, price history and higher API limits. No store pays for placement.
Can a store pay to rank higher?
No. Results are ordered by what you would actually pay. There is no paid placement and no commercial arrangement that changes the order of results.
How current are the prices?
Listings are rebuilt continuously rather than on a fixed schedule, so a given store is usually re-read within a day. Stock can still sell out between our read and your click — the retailer page is always the authority on availability.
Why does one store show a much lower price than the rest?
Usually because it is an independent retailer clearing end-of-run sizes, or a non-US store whose price converts favourably. Check the shipping destination and the return policy on the retailer page before assuming it is the better deal.
What does a paid plan actually add?
Retailer names. The free tier shows that a price exists and what it is; paid plans show which store it is at, so you can go buy it. Paid tiers also raise API rate limits and expose more price history.
Can AI agents use SoleScout?
Yes. There is a documented endpoint intended for assistants and agents, plus structured data on every product page so an agent can cite a real current price rather than guessing.
A price or size is wrong — how do I report it?
Email support@solescout.ai with the product page URL. Corrections normally land within a day, because the underlying listing is re-read on the next pass.
Which retailers are covered?
About 660 of them, ranging from national chains to single-location boutiques in the US, Europe and Asia. Independent stores are indexed the same way large ones are — that long tail is where most below-retail prices come from.
Is SoleScout affiliated with the brands it lists?
No. Brand and retailer names are used for identification only. SoleScout is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand or retailer it indexes.
Still stuck?
