Introducing the Momentum 6 Drop Weight Stringing Machine from the new line of tennis racquet stringing machines made by Gamma Sports. The user-friendly design features intuitive controls and an easy setup, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced stringers.
The drop weight system is a manual method of applying tension to the strings. It consists of a horizontal bar (the "weight") that you physically drop to a set angle to achieve the desired tension. You adjust the weight along the bar to set the tension (measured in pounds or kilograms). Gravity pulls the bar down, and when the bar reaches a level position (usually horizontal), it means the correct tension has been applied. This method is simple and does not require electricity, making it cost-effective and reliable.
The 6-point mounting system has two contact points securing the frame: Two main supports (one at the top and one at the bottom) provide primary stability. Unlike the 2-point system, the 6-point stringing machine has four additional side supports (two on each side) to help distribute pressure evenly across the frame. A 6-point system is generally better than a 2-point or 4-point system because it reduces the risk of frame distortion, especially for high-tension string jobs. Select the system that will most meet your needs.
