The recycled polyester used in Nike products comes from recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, crushed into flakes, then made into pellets. These granules are then spun to obtain a new high quality yarn which will be used in the manufacture of our products, in order to offer optimal performance with a lower impact on the environment.

In addition to reducing waste production, recycled polyester reduces carbon emissions by up to 30% compared to virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of one billion plastic bottles per year from landfill or discharge into waterways.
